Early Life

Ahmed Ololade Asake, better known by his stage name Asake Music, is a rising Nigerian singer and songwriter born in South West Nigeria.He made headlines with the release of his viral single, Lady, which received a huge response from several online media and major celebrities.

The Nigerian-born lady crooner had to repost her freestyle song from Sydney Talker, Tunde Ednut, NastyBlaq, Broda Shaggi and countless others. Asake was born into the Ololade family on January 13, 1995. A few days after his birth, his parents held a baptismal ceremony to celebrate his birth.

He received the name of Ahmed Ololade.He is from the southwestern region of Nigeria and belongs to the Yoruba ethnic group. He was born and raised in Lagos City with his family. He comes from a Muslim family and was introduced to the same faith.

Growing up, her father was a businessman and her mother was a teacher.Asake began his artistic journey as a dancer. As a boy, he loved to dance and was very good at it. He majored in cultural dance, spending his spare time practicing dance to improve his skills.

As a high school student, he performed at school events, rocking classmates and staff with energetic cultural dances. It was while dancing that he received the nickname Asake.

Although Asake loves dancing, he also has a love for music. Gifted with a resonant voice, he often pleases his close friends and classmates with original songs and covers of popular songs. He decided to combine singing with his choreography because he wanted to become a better performer.

He started out as the lead vocalist for Broda Shaggi’s band, performing at shows and events around the country. He teamed up with Broda Shaggi to release the single Star in 2019. The song did quite well in the market and helped many music fans discover his talent.

Encouraged by this win, he released the single Lady in January 2020. The song went viral on social media as other influencers retweeted the single on their pages and others. Content creators used it as the background music in their videos.

Lady’s success paved the way for Asake to release the hit song Mr Money, one of the trending singles of 2020. The song that earned him his second nickname: Mr. Money.In 2022, Asake released the single Omo Ope.

The song went viral on the internet. And this time it reached the ears of rapper and music director Olamide. The older artist fell in love with this song and decided to record his verse on the single. Soon after, Olamide invited Asake to a meeting and offered to sign him with the label YBNL.

Asake accepts the offer and joins the YBNL family. He was announced as the final signer of YBNL on February 8, 2022.Grace found it in 2020, when one of her freestyles as Lady went viral, garnering celebrity attention across multiple online platforms. Immediately the free style went viral, it was recorded with production credited to Blaque Beats.

Personal life

Asake lives in a fully furnished building in Lekki, Lagos, and has strange travels that bear his name. When not performing in shows or composing music, Asake relaxes by playing tennis, football and billiards. He also spends most of his day listening to other artists’ songs.T
