DR Congo Will Host the CAF African Schools Football Qualifiers

The event represents the final stage of the competition, with the Central African Football Federations’ Union (UNIFFAC) Zone preparing to host the concluding phase of the Zonal Qualifiers.

This information was disclosed in a press release by the CAF Online Communications Department on Monday, as reported by our correspondent.

The announcement stated that Kinshasa will host the UNIFFAC Zonal qualifiers at Stade des Martyrs from March 11 to 17, 2024. This follows the successful Zonal qualifiers organized by COSAFA, CECAFA, UNAF, WAFU A, and WAFU B.

CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe’s uniquely designed program has reached over 800,000 school-going boys and girls under the age of 15 in just its second season.

Creating Future Leaders…

The release states that the ASFC not only displays African football talent but also aims to empower future leaders through concurrent capacity-building programs.

While highlighting and providing a platform for the next generation of African football talent, the program’s parallel objective, led by CAF, is to empower future African leaders through various capacity-building programs that run alongside the tournament.

Recently, during the WAFU A Qualifiers held in Nouakchott, Mauritania, more learners and educators benefited from CAF-accredited courses.

These courses included the CAF D Licence Coaching Course, the CAF Leadership Programme, the Young Reporters Programme, the Young Referees Programme, and the CAF Safeguarding Programme.

DR Congo’s conclusion of the zonal qualifiers will immediately shift the focus to the CAF African Schools Championship Finals, where winners from all six CAF Zones will compete for continental glory.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship UNIFFAC Zonal Qualifier Teams include:

Online reports describe the ASFC as a prestigious tournament that showcases and fosters emerging football talent across Africa.
