Fans are wondering if the recent trailer for a 2024 God of War movie is real or fake. Is a film with Dwayne Johnson as Kratos being released this year?

God of War Trailer- Real or Fake?

The recent 2024 God of War movie trailer is a fake, fan-made creation. The YouTube channel Foxstar Media, known for posting fan-made trailers of possible upcoming projects, also released the following trailer for God of War:

The teaser incorporates footage from movies like Troy and Clash of the Titans, along with scenes from the God of War game. It uses deepfake technology to place Dwayne Johnson’s face on Kratos. However, fans can rest assured that the teaser is not official.

A God of War movie is not in the works, so it won’t be released in 2024. Instead, Amazon Prime Video has ordered a live-action series. However, the series is still in the early stages of development, with only the script currently being written, so no footage is available yet.

Dwayne Johnson has not been cast as Kratos in the live-action God of War series. He is involved in several projects under development, such as a live-action Moana, a future Fast and Furious installment, and two Red Notice movies for Netflix. However, his upcoming projects do not include God of War. The live-action series has yet to cast its lead actor and may not be released until 2026 or 2027. Therefore, fans shouldn’t expect an announcement about the lead actor soon, and it is unlikely to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson due to his busy schedule.
