The MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program invites early career international researchers to conduct research in France, offering support throughout their projects.

France, a key advocate in the battle against climate change and a supporter of the Paris Agreement’s principles, initiates a new MOPGA visiting fellowship program aimed at enhancing scientific contributions to climate change issues addressed by the COPs.

This seventh call for applications for the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) program aims to accommodate a minimum of 40 early career researchers who desire to pursue their research in France. The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, funds the program, which is executed by Campus France.

France hosts the fellowship, open to applicants from all countries, offering a monthly allowance and health insurance. No IELTS is necessary, and the deadline for application submission is January 9, 2024.

Details of MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program

Early Career Researchers can benefit from the MOPGA 2024 Visiting Fellowship Program, receiving support for projects aligned with the themes outlined in the “Research Themes” section. A minimum of 40 fellowships will be granted for a 12-month duration starting from September 2024.

  • Energy transition
  • Societal challenges of environmental issues
  • Human, animal and ecosystem health as part as a “One Health” approach.

Eligibility Requirements for 2024 MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program

To be considered for the MOPGA Visiting Fellowship, applicants must be:

  • Foreign researchers holding a doctoral degree for less than 5 years
  • No nationality restrictions (except France)

Benefits of 2024 MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program

This fellowship includes the following benefits :

  • Monthly allowance of 2,500 euros
  • Moving allowance of 500 euros
  • Health Insurance plan covering civil liability and repatriation assistance until the MOPGA Fellow’s registration to the French Social Security Scheme
  • Complementary Health Insurance plan covering civil liability and repatriation assistance once the Social Security registration process is effective.
