The leader of APC in Sokoto State, Isa Sadiq Achida, is very sad because his son, Anas Isa Sadiq Achida, died in a bad car crash. Anas was 25 years old and had finished studying civil engineering at Lead City University in Ibadan. He was coming back home to Sokoto from school when the accident happened on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Anas Isa Sadiq Achida’s friend also died in the same accident. His friend’s name was Umar Muhammed, and he was 22 years old. Umar was studying Public Health at Lead University in Ibadan.
The Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, went to the funeral of Anas Isa Sadiq Achida. He talked to Anas’s father and other family members to offer his sympathy. The Governor said that Anas’s death is a big loss for the whole state.
The Governor said that Anas Isa Sadiq Achida was a very nice, smart, and committed son. He asked God to accept all the good things Anas did and to forgive the things he did wrong.
The Governor told Anas’s family to think of his death as something that was meant to happen according to God’s plan. He told them to pray for Anas’s soul to rest peacefully.
Anas has been buried in the Islamic way, following the proper customs.
A person named Malam Bashir Gidan kanawa led a special prayer asking God to be kind and forgiving to the person who died.
Many important people attended the funeral prayer. This included the Speaker and some members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, the Chief of Staff, Special Advisers and Assistants to the Governor, leaders of the political party, other politicians, and many more.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu also felt sorry for the family of Muhammed Umar, who died in the same accident as Anas.
A person named Aminu Haliru Dikko, who works at the Government House in Sokoto, went to give condolences to Muhammed Umar’s family on behalf of the Governor. This happened in the Wamakko local Government area.
The Governor said that Muhammed Umar’s death is very sad, and he asked God to forgive Muhammed and give his family the strength to handle the sadness.
The Chief of Staff was joined by Malam Bashir Gidan Kanawa and Faruk Labbo, who works as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor for Domestic Affairs, when they visited to give their condolences.
Malam Bashir Gidan Kanawa led a special prayer for another person named Abubakar Bawa who passed away, asking God to let their souls rest in peace.
