Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua, born on October 15, 1989, in Watford, Hertfordshire, is the son of Yeta and Robert Joshua. His mother, Yeta, is Nigerian, while his father has Nigerian and Irish ancestry.

Joshua’s Nigerian heritage is specifically linked to the Yoruba people, where he holds an aristocratic rank. He has a cousin named Ben Ileyemi, who is also a professional boxer, and both made their professional debuts together in 2013.

Joshua secured a technical knockout (TKO) victory in the first round against Emanuele Leo.
