The real name of this young chef is Hilda Bassey Effiong. She is a Nigerian chef and she is from Nsit Ubium LGA in Akwa Ibom State.
She owns a food restaurant named My Food by Hilda in Lagos and she is 27 years old.
What Was the Cooking Duration for the Competition?
She was to cook for four days nonstop to break the 87 hours 45 minutes record set by Guinness World Record holder, Lata Tandon. She had to work around the clock with no sleep.
Furthermore, she started on Thursday, May 11, and by the time of writing this article, she had beaten the record.
What She Could Eat During the Event
She was not permitted to take anything that would prevent her from sleeping, but she was allowed to eat food, drink water, and drink fruit juice. Furthermore, she wasn’t allowed to take any energy drink while cooking but was permitted to take glucose.

The food she was to cook was not meant to be sold out. But to be distributed to those around the venue for free.

She has cooked lots of meals since this challenge started. According to the record, she cooked over 160 meals, with over 4,000 portions served.

Lata Tandon, an Indian chef was the former holder of this record. Lata Tandon achieved a remarkable feat in 2019 by cooking continuously for an astonishing duration of 87 hours and 45 minutes, setting a Guinness World Record.
How Many Hours Were Needed to Break the Record?
In an attempt to set a new world record, Hilda Baci embarked on a cooking challenge for a total of 96 hours, dedicating an additional 9 hours beyond that to surpass the existing record. If successful, she would become the first person in history to spend such an extensive amount of time cooking continuously, akin to running a culinary marathon.
However, she added some extra 4 hours to make it 100 hours.

The majority of the food items, ingredients, utensils, and other resources utilized for this project were supplied by her sponsors. As a result, the funding invested in this endeavor did not solely come from Hilda or her food brand.
